I get all kinds of wild comments, but these ones really stand out. Believe it or not, some people actually think I’m an actor, or that my paintings aren’t real! For the record: every single piece is hand painted. They’re not AI-generated. I do create digital sketches first, but only as references for the final artwork. Honestly, I take comments like that as the highest compliment. It’s taken years of practice, discipline, and evolution to reach this point. By trusting my intuition more deeply than ever before, I’ve been able to create work I couldn’t have even imagined just a few years back. At the end of the day, every artist will face criticism. Lil life update from me The sun is sharing its warmth and beauty more often. The flowers starting to bloom. Tree leaves budding. I have gone through this winter - physically, emotionally. I have grieved through the short dark days and gone within. Now I am entering my bloom. The equinox, the gate. It’s been three months since my relationship ended, I moved to Brighton, and found my cozy home. Here I have shed, created, alchemised. I sleep blissfully. I wake up early to watch the sun rise, sometimes at 4am if my body is ready. I feel a certain peace and presence in myself that I’d lost for a while. And a pull forward. Opening myself up. Saying yes. Connecting with others. Reflecting and looking back on the past decade - it’s been 10 years since I started my art career. My anniversary. Seems like many lifetimes lived in such a short span of time. Different expressions, in art, in clothing, in relationships, in patterns. I want to give 10 years ago her a hug and tell her it will all work out. But she already knew that. A new chapter is bursting open. In sync with the seasons.
