This text is sent to our secure backend AI engine to generate structured summaries. We do not store raw comments on our servers permanently.
  • Extension Preferences: Custom user configurations (such as custom scoring weight settings) are stored locally in your browser.

2. Permissions Usage Transparency

The Extension requests specific Chrome APIs to operate. Here is how they are utilized:

  • "downloads": Used exclusively to facilitate the downloading of public TikTok MP4 video files and background music (M4A/AAC format) when you actively click the download buttons. We never monitor, read, or alter any of your other browser downloads.
  • "storage": Used to store your UI preferences and locally cache analyzed video scores so you do not waste your daily AI analysis quotas on the same videos.
  • "identity": Used to request Google Sign-In and check email addresses to authenticate free user quotas.
  • Host Permissions (*.tiktok.com): Necessary to scan public video statistics and overlay high-value "Worth Researching" tags directly onto the native web elements.

3. Security and Data Sharing

We maintain strict security measures to protect your data:

  • All communication between the Extension and our servers is encrypted via secure HTTPS protocols.
  • No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your data (including your email address and scraped content) with any third parties for marketing, advertising, or profiling purposes.
