Public-Only Policy

What "public-only" means

TTViewer only accesses and displays information and media that a TikTok creator has explicitly set to "Public" on the platform. This includes:

  • Public profile information (username, display name)
  • Public bio
  • Public avatars (profile pictures)
  • Public follower and like counts
  • Public videos
  • Public stories when available
  • Public photo/slideshow posts when available

What TTViewer cannot do

Our tool acts as an independent viewer for publicly accessible data. We strictly respect privacy controls, which means TTViewer cannot and will never access:

  • Private Accounts: If a creator's profile is set to private, we cannot access it.
  • Friends-Only Posts: Content shared only with mutual followers is inaccessible.
  • Deleted Posts: Videos or stories removed by the creator or the platform.
  • Restricted Posts: Media locked by age gates or regional restrictions.
  • Private Messages: We do not have access to any direct messages.
  • Drafts: Unpublished content stored locally or on TikTok servers.
  • Personal Information: Emails, phone numbers, and login-only data.
  • Follower Lists: We cannot view who a user follows or who follows them if that list is hidden or restricted.

Why some content may not appear

Even if an account is public, some content may be missing from TTViewer. Common reasons include:

  • TikTok Restriction: The platform may have restricted the content or account.
  • Region Restriction: The content is blocked in the geographical region of our servers.
  • Expired Stories: TikTok stories expire after 24 hours.
  • Creator Deleted Content: The creator recently removed the video.
  • Account Status Change: The creator recently changed their profile to private.
  • Indexing Delay: The content was just posted and hasn't propagated fully.
  • Unsupported Media Type: Certain interactive or novel post types may not be supported.

How to request removal
